Company Section caters
for the 11 to 18 year-olds, and provides a more challenging badge award
structure, camping, canoeing, expeditions, first aid, hobbies and various
sports including football and table tennis.
Meetings take place on Thursdays between 7.30 and 9.30pm (Year 7 boys
to 9.00pm), with optional additional activities, as announced, including
Table Tennis and Band Practice. We currently have a large Company section
comprising of around 15 regular boys.

‘We moved to Guildford in 1993 having recently returned from 4 years in West Africa. We have two sons – Ben and Jonathan both of whom have been involved in Boys’ Brigade since the 1st year of Anchor Boys’. My wife Ruth agreed to help with the running of Anchor Boys’ when Ben joined in the Autumn of 1993 and in 1994 she persuaded me to help with Junior Section. I have been involved with 1GBB ever since and became Captain in 2003. I work for the Christian
relief and development charity Tearfund which involves traveling
widely.’ |
